On the heels of her rookie appearance, Georgina Burke traveled to Puerto Rico with photographer Ben Watts for her 2023 SI Swimsuit photo shoot, which was largely inspired by the great outdoors and 1970’s surf culture.

While in one of the Caribbean’s leading surfing destinations, Burke elevated the laid-back vintage “surf’s up” style and wore a burnt orange swimsuit from ViX Paula Hermanny featuring gold detailing and paired it with a sparkly gold sarong by Burke and a necklace by Ettika.

Since launching her full-time modeling career at 17, Burke has worked with brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Neiman Marcus, Bloomingdale’s, Polo Ralph Lauren and Torrid. An activist and advocate for size inclusivity and diversity in fashion, the Australian model founded Burke NYC, a brand of size friendly and adjustable swimwear, in 2019.
